Thank you for saving my husband

Dear Editor,

My husband was fishing near Fintry on Aug 24th and although he tried to get out of the way he was t-boned by a bigger boat going 4 to 5 times faster than him.

I would like to publicly thank the wonderful people in the subdivision just down from Fintry Provincial Campsite that came to his aid. They called 911, made the boat that hit him come back, secured both boats, and got him onto their dock.

They located me and afterwards got the boat out of the water and onto our truck so I could get to the hospital to be with him. They even offered to keep our dog for us.

You are all angels and we can't put into words how thankful we are.

To the people that hit him. There were 7 people in your boat how could you not have seen him, how could you think it was okay to just leave him?

My husband is a hard working man. His little boat was his alone time and he loved it more than you in your big fancy boat can imagine.

His ankle was shattered he had to have surgery and will be off work for at least 6 weeks. I just thank God that nobody was in the passenger side of the boat or you would have killed them.
