The Osoyoos RCMP say they responded to a report of human remains found at Haynes Point Provincial Park on April 29.

A contractor excavating for washroom upgrades located the bones between four and five feet deep.

Investigation has found these bones to be archaeological and in close proximity to other archaeological remains found in the past.

The scene is being further investigated by the Provincial Archaeological Branch and will be done in conjunction with the Osoyoos Indian Band and BC Parks.

This is the second set of human remains found in Osoyoos in the last week.

A skull and other body parts were found on Anarchist Mountain, Kelowna serious crimes unit is investigating.
