Meet Tony and Rascal, a bonded pair of birds who share a deep connection and find comfort in each other's company. These two have been through a lot together, coming from a flock with many different types of birds, and they are looking for a loving home where they can stay together.

Rascal is a gentle soul at 22 years old. This handsome, albeit somewhat feather-picked, Quaker parrot has been gradually coming out of his shell since arriving with us. Though he's a bit shy and anxious, he's becoming more comfortable in new environments and with people. Rascal will need a patient and experienced adopter who can give him the time and care he needs to build trust and confidence.

Tony, on the other hand, is a bundle of energy and charisma. He is a rambunctious and playful Sun Conure who loves to explore, chat, and be the center of attention. His history is unknown, but his present is full of personality! Tony enjoys being held, munching on snacks, and taking showers-his playful and affectionate nature makes him a joy to be around.

These boys would love to have a large flight cage where they can finally stretch their wings and a home that will have safe "outside of cage" exploring time. Currently, they are enjoying having clean perches, fresh water to bath in and fresh 'salad' every day! Together, they form a beautiful, bonded pair, with Tony's vibrant energy and Rascal's gentle nature complementing each other perfectly.

Because of their strong bond, Tony and Rascal must be adopted together. If you're an experienced bird owner with the patience to help Rascal continue to grow while also enjoying Tony's lively companionship, this sweet pair could be the perfect fit for you!

Potential adopters must show their experience and/or knowledge about these types of birds and will be required to send pictures of their intended set up as part of the application process. The BC SPCA does not support the keeping of exotic parrots as companions; however, we recognize these birds are in BC communities and deserve the best possible care by the most knowledgeable caregivers for their lifetime in captivity.

If you are interested in adopting, you can stop by the Kamloops shelter during open hours or apply online at the link below.
