Goose is a young pup looking for a home with an EXPERIENCED dog owner. He is your typical puppy that loves to play all day! Goose has been working on some basic manners but is still teething and not fully house trained. He would benefit from taking some formal puppy obedience classes for his training and socialization. Due to Goose still thinking he is part land shark (teething) and having shown some signs of resource guarding with food/toys, Goose will need a home with no small children. Goose loves to play with toys, is a quick learner, and has the goofiest personality. Goose has been slowly getting introduced to other dogs, he could go to a home with a bigger dog as he can be too rough with littles. We are unsure how Goose would be with other small animals or cats.
Adopting a puppy is a big decision (and life-long commitment to the dog!). Before taking the plunge, it is a good idea to research breeds, training techniques etc and should include all members of the family. The time it takes in the beginning (house training, chewing, waking you up at night, training, socializing) more than pays itself back when your uncontrolled mass of energy grows to be an invaluable member of the family. If you think that adopting a puppy is right for you, please see one of the shelter staff for more information.
