Female Dog
Breed: Presa Canario Cross
3Yrs 3Mths
Colour: Brindle / White
Onyx is a 3yr old, Presa Canario X Cane Corso. She is quite social and sweet with people but does take sometime to warm up to new people. So she needs to be introduced to people and new situations slowly but once she warms up she LOVES to cuddle up with her favorite humans. She will bark when strangers are around or approaching. Onyx has made some K9 friends while in the shelter but still requires slow introductions to start. We are unsure how she would be with cats or other small animals. She's looking for a more quiet home environment and gentle handling. She will need a home with no small children. Onyx does have separation anxiety and tends to vocalize. She is currently on daily medication to help manage this anxiety. She also has the tendency to be destructive with toys and bedding if left alone for too long. However she does well with being crated.
Onyx would do best in a home with someone that is around a lot and can provide lots of physical and mental activities for her.
