Sweet senior, Angel, is looking for her own personal miracle. This 16 yr old cat has sadly been bounced around to a few homes in her senior years, through no fault of her own, and she just really wants to find that special someone to spoil her and share her love with in her golden years. She has so much love to give!
Angel is a friendly and loving cat whose favourite thing is to lay in front of the fireplace for a nice nap while she gets nice and toasty. She also enjoys watching TV and playing with wand toys. She would be fine with cat savvy older children but is not really a fan of other animals. She would prefer a home with no dogs but may be able to get used to other cats who give her space.
When Angel came back into the care of the BC SPCA last autumn she was suffering from severe obesity, having doubled in size over two years through bad diet and overfeeding. Her mobility was very poor, she was so overweight she could only waddle around for short periods of time. She has spent the last several months in a loving foster home working to get to a healthier weight. Through proper diet and care she has lost several pounds already and is a much happier kitty. An adopter will need to be prepared to keep her on a strict diet plan to help her continue her weight loss plan and be as happy and healthy as possible. She has recently received a dental surgery and has recovered from that. She also was diagnosed with fairly severe arthritis in her back end likely caused by her obesity and she is now on a monthly injection called Solensia to help manage her arthritis and to keep her comfortable. An adopter will need to continue this medication or look at alternatives with their vet. Being a senior it is very important to keep up with regular vet check ups.
Angel is a loving cat who just wants to finally find the love of her life. Could it be you?
