Aldo may look a little rough but he has a heart of gold. This little guy was found on the side of a highway outside Prince George. He is still on the skinny side but has a great appetite. Aldo is very friendly and outgoing, he loves making new friends. He is hoping to meet a wonderful new family to call his own. There are a few scars on his nose that suggest he may have had fights with other cats during his time on the streets but so far has been very friendly and unbothered by the other cats, though this could change in a home environment.

Aldo is ready for a fresh start as a real lap cat. He loves cuddling and getting lots of affection. He can be curious and playful at times but really just loves to be around people. He would likely do okay with older kids who are cat savy and other animals in the home after a slow and careful introduction.

Aldo is not yet ready to go home as he is awaiting his neuter but he is more than happy to meet you!

Danny and his brother Arnold were found outside wandering on their home. They are extremely friendly kittens and decided to follow some nice people on their walk, asking for attention. As soon as they arrived at the shelter, these two were already making friends. They are very easy going and playful. Just one pet is all they need to start purring up a storm! These two love everyone, especially each other. When they get tired out, they love to cuddle up for a well deserved nap. They are good with children who can handle them safely and would most likely be okay with other animals after a slow and careful introduction.

Danny is the smaller of the two boys, otherwise they look very much the same. Once you get to know them, it's easy to tell them apart but it might be tricky at first. They have similar personalities, a bit mischievous but definitely filled with love!

This kitten was treated for ear mites upon arriving at the shelter and will have a waiver form upon adoption.

Adopting a kitten is a lifetime commitment for a lifetime of love and care.An adoption counseling session with our Adoption Staff is necessary before adopting any animal.

Crosby is a very sweet boy looking for a loving home. He has spent some time outside but seems to be ready for the indoor life now. He is hoping for a new home to call his own, where he can recline and relax. Crosby enjoys affection but may be hesitant at first. Adopters will need to show patience and allow him to feel comfortable in his new home. A busy home with loud noise is not the best choice for Crosby. He would do best in a quiet home with no kids.

It looks like during his time outside, Crosby got into a few scrapes with other cats. He has a chipped tooth that will likely need to be removed. Crosby is currently unable to go home at the moment as he is waiting for his neuter and dental surgery. Meet Panda!

This handsome young man came to us as an unclaimed stray from dog control so we don't know much about his background. Being a husky breed, Panda is suited to an active family where he would make an excellent running, hiking or adventure buddy. He does well on leash and is well behaved but would suit enrichment to keep him occupied.

While we are unsure how he would do with children, we do always encourage meet and greets with any children in the household here at the shelter to ensure they get along.

We are currently looking for a foster-to-adopt home for Panda while he awaits his neuter. If you think Panda is a good match for your family, please apply through the link below.

Nutmeg came into the BC SPCA with her mom Ruby and her 5 siblings, and they're looking for their chance at a fur-ever home. This cute kitten is very sweet and friendly, although at this time she is more concerned about playing but she still has a lot of love to share. This sweetheart is very playful and has lots of energy! adopters will need to make playtime a priority, and plan to kitten-proof their homes. We're certain that with the right family, Nutmeg will make a wonderful companion! she could probably live with kids and other animals with proper slow introductions as long as they respect her boundaries.

Meet the purr-fect pair, Victoria and Elizabeth! These two young cats came to us as strays, and they are very eager to get out of the shelter and into their forever home. Victoria and Elizabeth came to us together and haven't left each other's side since! They rely on one other to feel safe and secure, so we will only be adopting them to a home where they can stay together.

Both have been quite shy since they arrived in our care, since they are adjusting to such a big change in their lives. Victoria is the more confident of the two and enjoys being pet and will seek out attention once comfortable. She can be quite playful and loves throwing her toys around. Elizabeth is still very nervous in the shelter and likes to have somewhere to hide, especially when there is a lot of commotion going on around her. Once in a home environment she will surely blossom. She does love her cheek scratches and is also playful. Both beautiful ladies are getting more comfortable now that they are learning the routine here but a guardian is going to have to be patient and gentle to try and bring them out of their shells. Given the time to adjust in their new homes and with lots of love we're sure they can be loving companions. We don't know how they are with other cats or with dogs, so proper slow introductions will need to be done to ensure the best chance of success. We would recommend a quiet home without young kids running around as they are very nervous of fast action and loud noises. These young cats have a lot of potential and just need that special someone to give them the same love and support that they get from each other!

If you feel you can offer Victoria and Elizabeth a loving fur-ever home, please fill out an adoption application and submit it online today: https://spca.bc.ca/survey/cat-adoption-application-kamloops/

Meet Cricket!

Cricket came to the SPCA as her previous home was no longer able to keep her. We are looking for a foster-to-adopt home for her while she is treated for an ear infection.

We do not know much about her past but we do know she is shy at first but becomes a friendly cuddly giant once she gets to know you. Cricket may do well in a home with another calm dog - a meet and greet between the two would be required.

Cricket would love a nice backyard with plenty of shade to lounge around with her family. If she sounds like she could be a great addition to your home, please apply through the link below.

Quite the debonair and handsome cat, Big Turk, came into the SPCA after the elderly owners he previously lived with could no longer care for him due to health issues. He is a very sweet, chillaxed guy with a wonderful disposition. He enjoys affection and spending time with people and adjusts quickly to new environments. Big Turk is always happy to make new friends. He is a bit overweight and would benefit from a healthy diet to help him slim down and keep him fit as he gets into his senior years.

Big Turk is used to a quiet senior home but may be fine in most any home as long as it's not crazy busy and he can enjoy lots of love from his humans. He seems to be okay with other animals and may be able to live peacefully with others after slow and careful introductions. We're not sure if he's ever been around children before. Being a senior animal it is important for his new guardians to keep up with regular vet checks to keep on top of his health. He may benefit from a dental cleaning in the next few years as he has the start of tartar buildup so this should be planned for as a possibility.
Overall Big Turk is a big love who will make a great addition to a home and will woo you with his beautiful blues. Could he be the one for you?

If you are interested in adopting Big Turk, please submit an online application https://spca.bc.ca/survey/cat-adoption-application-kamloops and staff will contact the first suitable adopter to set-up a visit!

Kammie (and her sister Oreo) came to the SPCA after they were left behind in a rental unit. This beautiful lady can be a bit shy when you first meet her but once you get to know her, she is a very sweet and affectionate cat. It is very likely that she will relax once she is in a more familiar home environment and will certainly make a wonderful, loving companion. She is generally easy going and has shown no aggression. She lived with another cat and may possibly be able to get used to other calm, animals with slow, proper introductions but we can't be sure. She may hiss initially. We also don't know if she's ever been around children before and with her slightly anxious personality we would probably recommend a home with no kids or ones who are older, calm, and cat savvy. She is used to being an indoor only cat. Whoever is lucky enough to adopt Kammie will get a real sweetheart! Could it be you?

An adoption counseling session with our Adoption Staff is necessary before adopting any animal.

Is Kammie the cat you're looking for? Here are some ways to find out:
1. Visit our center to meet this pet, learn more about their ideal match and apply to adopt in person; or
2. Submit an online application https://spca.bc.ca/survey/cat-adoption-application-kamloops and staff will contact the first suitable adopter to set-up a visit!

Oreo is a sweet, outgoing girl who came to the SPCA with her sister (Kammie) after they were left behind in a rental unit. When it comes to her humans Oreo has so much love to share. She is also a talker and will happily chirp at you for attention...or food. Oreo is pretty bold and adjust to new environments quickly. She enjoys affection from people and loves to give face rubs and cuddles. Though she lived with another cat she does seem to be pretty grouchy with other felines so may prefer being the only cat in the home. However with proper, slow introductions there might be the possibility of her getting used to another animal. She may be fine with cat savvy children who are respectful but we are not sure if she's every been around kids before. Overall she seems to be a lovely lady who will make a great addition to a home. Could it be yours?

Karma is an outgoing senior cat who came to the SPCA when she didn't like the visiting grandkids in her previous home and got a bit sassy. She's looking for a happy retirement home where she can get spoiled and loved without little kids coming around to pester her. Overall she is very friendly and would probably be fine with older kids who are respectful. Karma loves pets and attention. She is a chatty girl who will chirp at you in greeting and would love to have long meaningful conversations while you curl up together on the couch or in bed. She loves to have long cozy cat naps. Karma has lived with another cat before but could be a bit grumpy with it so we're not sure how she would do with new animals. She may prefer being the queen of the household. Testing and proper, slow introductions would be very important with any other animals. Overall Karma is a lovely cat with a shiny personality who just wants to share her love and will make a great companion.

Karma is a bit overweight so an adopter should be prepared to keep her on a healthy diet to help her trim down a bit. Being older she also has the start of tartar buildup and may require a dental cleaning in the next couple of years so adopters should plan for that. She also currently is having a problem with overgrooming her fur on her sides causing thinning areas. This may potentially be caused by the stress of being in a shelter environment but we are doing tests with the vet to rule out a medical cause. We are looking for local potential adopters who could foster Karma while we work on this issue. Talk to SPCA staff for more information how this would work.

An adoption counseling session with our Adoption Staff is necessary before adopting any animal.

Beautiful Beatrice came into a northern BC SPCA shelter when she was found as a stray outdoors with a scruffy, matted coat and severe ear mites causing ear infections. She definitely wasn't getting the love and care she needed and is now so much happier (look at her adorable smile). Beatrice is super sweet and loving and is going to make a lucky adopter an amazing companion to curl up with and give kisses. She needs a guardian who will keep her inside and regularly brush her coat to keep it nice and tangle free. Being a senior she is calm and mostly enjoys having lovely long naps in cozy places. Beatrice is very friendly with people and would likely be fine with cat savvy children who are respectful. We're not sure if she's ever lived with kids or other animals before so would need testing and proper, slow introductions. She has been a bit hissy with other cats in the shelter so may prefer being the only feline.
Overall this gorgeous older lady will make a wonderful addition to a home and loving feline friend.
Beatrice is not ready to go to her new home just yet as she is recovering from major dental surgery and also finishing treatment for her ear infections. Staff can give more information as to when she may be ready to go. In the meantime feel free to stop by for a visit to meet this sweetheart!

Goose is looking for a kind, and patient guardian that ideally has experience owning a timid pup. Goose spent the first 6 months of his life living on a farm, so can be nervous of new people, places, and things. Goose will require an active guardian that is willing to be patient with him as he continues to figure out that life off the farm isn't all that bad! :) He tends to be nervous to start but once he warms up to you he loves to play, snuggle up, and zoom around the field! While in care Goose has been learning what a collar and leash are, each day his leash skills are improving!

Due to him being nervous to start he is looking for a home without any small children. He does not do well around livestock. He is nervous of new dogs but has been working on slow introductions while in care. He has lived with farm cats but doesn't realize his size so tends to play rough with them. Goose will need a home with a fully fenced yard.

If you think you could be a good fit for Goose please fill out an application below.

A behaviour counselling session with our Adoption Staff is necessary before adopting any animal to ensure success in the new home.

Tinkerbell came into our care as a heavily pregnant queen. She has spent the last 12 weeks caring for her 5 little babes and now it is her turn to be pampered . She is a very tiny framed female who loves to be near her people. She will let you know she’s not done being pet by gently batting you. Unfortunately Tinkerbell has not been free to explore a relationship with our other cats as she has been a super protective mama. She would do best in a home with no other cats to start.
